A neighbour of Oscar Pistorius has returned to the witness box to give evidence in the star athlete’s murder trial in South Africa.
Charl Johnson, who says he heard gunshots and a woman screaming on the night Pistorius killed girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, was back in court after leaving yesterday to retrieve notes he said he made after Steenkamp was shot.
Lead defence lawyer Barry Roux was cross-examining Mr Johnson, who lives about 200 yards from the house where Pistorius killed Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day last year.

Pistorius, a double-amputee runner who competed at the 2012 Olympics, is charged with murder with premeditation after shooting Steenkamp through a toilet door. He says the killing was accidental because he thought she was an intruder in his home.
