Two Injured After Wisconsin Train Derailment

Two people were injured and several thousand gallons of diesel fuel were spilled after two trains collided and several railcars were derailed in a small Wisconsin village, a fire official said. Slinger Fire Department Chief Rick Hanke said three engines and 10 railcars derailed Sunday, prompting the evacuation of upwards of 100 nearby homes. Hanke said two people were being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening. He said hazmat crews have dikes and booms in place at the scene of the derailment after 5,000 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from an engine. The Red Cross was helping evacuees at a local middle school.
